Some residential streets have free spaces, but seafront and central streets can carry resident, short-stay or loading restrictions. Do not assume a bay is free just because it is unoccupied.
Plan the walk
From the station or station-side parking, allow about 10 to 15 minutes to reach the harbour. From Tankerton Road, plan a coast-first visit and walk back toward Whitstable along the front.

Free on-street spaces are more likely away from the harbour and High Street, but they add walking time and can affect residents. Keep driveways, corners and dropped kerbs clear.
